My Research Journey
As I discussed in a previous post, YouTube videos benefit from high-quality transcription. When the video is accurately typed out, every word included and spelled correctly, punctuation and grammar triple-checked, the video’s searchability is increased, leading to more viewership.
In my effort to provide transcription services to YouTube creators, I am looking up topics and areas of interest that I find intriguing and evaluating the quality of the video’s transcription.
Though this can be a little tedious at first, once I jump in I am amazed at all the interesting content being put out there by so many people. We are truly in the age of information, and I love having an opportunity to explore this world for a valid reason (rather than just distracting myself from chores).
In this research journey, I have covered a wide range of topics, from grief to birdwatching to tiny-home living to dying with dignity. I know that too much information isn’t necessarily good, but this journey is showing me how fortunate we are to have access to so many experts, hobbyists, and educators who are excited and willing to share their knowledge with the world.
I cannot wait to work with them!
